Argan oil roasted is a pure vegetable oil that is extracted from the seed of the fruit of the argan tree (ironwood tree, Argania spinosa). Characterizing this exquisite oil are the origin (south-west Morocco) and the manufacturing process, because the roasted argan oil is roasted, like the coffee beans, before the pressing. Afterwards, they are cold-pressed purely mechanically so that all flavorings and ingredients remain intact. Filtration does not take place; the oil is merely decanted. Deposits can thus form, which, however, do not imply a loss in quality, but merely indicate the careful method of production.
Argan oil is first an exqusites gourmet cooking oil that is used in the cold and warm kitchen. Due to its temperature resistance, it can also be used for sweating and frying. It is ideal for marinating grill meat or fish. Argan oil roasted also gives boring food the certain "something".
Argan oil is also used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry. It is used as a food supplement. Traditionally, it is also used for leather care in Morocco. Argan oil is used on the bridle and saddle of the camels in order to increase the suppleness and the prevention of cracking.
