Argan oil unroasted is a pure vegetable oil that is extracted from the seed of the fruit of the argan tree (ironwood tree, Argania spinosa). Characteristic for the oil are origin and manufacturing process. This high-quality Argan oil unroasted comes from the south-west of Morocco, from a UNESCO-protected area known as Arganeraie. Argan oil is cold-pressed from fresh, unroasted and untreated argan seeds purely mechanically cold, so that all natural flavorings and ingredients remain. Filtration does not take place; the oil is merely decanted. Deposits can thus form, which, however, do not imply a loss in quality, but merely indicate the careful method of production.

Argan oil contains about 18% saturated, 43% monounsaturated and about 38% polyunsaturated fatty acids. The oil contains only a few omega-3 fatty acids, but about 35% omega-6 fatty acids and about 45% omega-9 fatty acids. It also contains the vitamins E and A, as well as a variety of other substances such as sterols (spinasterol and schottenol) and carotene. The energy value is about 3752 kJ, which corresponds to about 896 kcal.

Argan oil unroasted a little bit thicker and has a sweet sharp smell of goat's cheese, with a hint of vanilla. The taste is sweet, sharp, biting, similar to goat's cheese and slightly scratchy in the finish.

Argan oil unroasted first is an exqusites gourmet cooking oil that is used in the cold and warm kitchen. Due to its temperature resistance, it can also be used for sweating and frying. It is ideal for marinating cheese, grilled meat or fish, as well as for seasoning and refining food.

Argan oil is used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. It is also used as a food supplement. The oil is a good foundation for ointments, creams and lotions. It is also increasingly used in cleaning products such as, soaps, liquid soaps, shampoos and hair conditioners.

Traditionally, it is used for leather care in Morocco. Argan oil is used for the bridle and saddle of the camels in order to increase the suppleness and the prevention of cracking.
