Organic Avocado oil
Organic Avocado Oil and Its Use in the Cosmetics Industry
The organic avocado oil is a real all-rounder in the cosmetics industry. Thanks to its high content of palmitoleic acid, it is well tolerated, spreads well, and cares for skin and hair intensively. In addition, the skin should be able to hold moisture better so that it can absorb other care products even better. A regenerative effect is also attributed to the organic avocado oil, which is supposed to support the natural barrier function. Thus, the organic avocado oil is particularly suitable in massage oils, creams, shampoos, and soaps for dry, cracked, heavily stressed skin and brittle hair.
Trivia
The avocado is a single-seeded berry, usually the size of a fist, with a dark green to dark red skin, inside of which the round core is surrounded by pulp. In addition to the production of avocado oil, the pulp is also suitable for raw consumption. The seed or kernel accounts for up to 12% of the fruit.
In contrast to most other oils, organic avocado oil is not obtained from the seed of the kernel, but from the pulp of the avocado. The best-known pulp oil is surely olive oil.
