Organic Cistus oil
The organic cistus oil, which is obtained with the help of steam distillation of the leaves and twig tips of the rockrose, unfolds its great aroma best in combination with fatty oils, even better than in its concentrated form.
As an application in natural medicine, the organic cistus oil has been recommended against some strains of bacteria and viruses. As a bath additive, rub, ointment, or as an inhalation additive, it is supposed to support the immune system. A hemostatic, wound-healing effect and a strengthening of the vascular walls is also attributed to organic cistus oil.
The cosmetics industry uses organic cistus oil in anti-acne care. The antiseptic properties of the oil from the always a bit wrinkled-looking rose species are supposed to bring greasy, impure, and inflamed skin back into balance.
In aromatherapy, organic cistus oil is considered a “meditation oil” and is intended to calm down and provide warmth after shock situations.
The organic cistus oil goes well with bergamot, cajeput, lavender, tangerine, patchouli, peppermint, rosemary, sandalwood, frankincense, ylang-ylang and lemon.
