Organic Clove stem oil
Early Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine recognized the value of clove (stem) oil, which is obtained by steam distilling the dried stems of the flower buds.
Today, organic clove oil is used in natural medicine as a home remedy for infections in the oral cavity, toothache, and bad breath. That is why it is often found in mouthwashes and other dental care products. A positive effect of clove oil on gastrointestinal complaints is also described.
Most people find the characteristic sweet but spicy scent of the clove oil pleasant. Insects, on the other hand, usually don’t like its smell. If a tiny troublemaker still has stung, the organic clove oil is said to bring relief through its slightly disinfecting effect. This property gives the organic clove oil a good base as an ingredient in creams and ointments for inflamed acne skin and for smaller, superficial skin injuries. As a soap ingredient, the organic clove oil also works well thanks to its antiseptic effect. In some cases, organic clove oil is ascribed fungicidal properties, so that some naturopaths use it for athlete’s foot (wear).
The spicy sweetness of the organic clove oil is an excellent counterpart to hearty home-style dishes, but also goes well with Christmas baked goods or liqueurs. Similar to the organic bay leaf oil, the organic clove oil is said to help to ensure that these dishes are better tolerated.
In aromatherapy, organic clove oil is considered to be stimulating, so that tiredness and listlessness should disappear and make way for concentration and drive.
The organic clove oil harmonizes well with bergamot oil, lavandin oil, lavender oil, lemongrass oil, bay leaf oil, tangerine oil, rosemary oil, ylang-ylang oil, or lemon oil.
