Trivia
From a botanical point of view, the hazelnut trees and bushes can be assigned to the birch trees, whose nuts are the only type of nut originally from Europe. It is said that the hazelnut colonized almost all of mainland Europe 8,000 years ago.
The flowers blooming in winter are yellow, green to red. The hazelnuts themselves consist of 65% vegetable oil.
To obtain our hazelnut oil, we use ripe, dried, shelled and grated hazelnuts, which we then gently mechanically, i.e., cold press.
