Organic Macadamia nut oil
Organic macadamia oil and its use in the food industry
The oil from the queen of nuts goes well with sweet and savory dishes. Create dreamlike desserts, nutty smoothies, salads with that certain something, extraordinary marinades or fantastic soups with our organic macadamia oil. There are almost no limits to the possible combinations with organic macadamia oil. Only exception: macadamia oil is not suitable for frying due to its relatively low smoke point of 150 degrees.
What are the ingredients of the organic macadamia oil?
The high proportion of palmitoleic acid, an essential omega-7 fatty acid, is a special feature of macadamia oil. The monounsaturated fatty acid is otherwise only found in animal fats in this quantity.
Trivia
Our organic macadamia oil is obtained from the ripe seeds of Macadamia integrifolia/tetraphylla by cold pressing and subsequent filtration.
Macadamia Integrifolia/Tetraphylla is an evergreen, hard-leaved tree that can grow to 12-15 m tall and over 50 years old. After 5 years it bears fruit for the first time. After 10 years it reaches its maximum carrying capacity.
