Mace Oil KONV
Mace oil is an essential oil, which is obtained by steam distillation of the red-orange shell of the nutmeg.
The nutmeg tree belongs to the nutmeg family and is an evergreen tree that can reach up to 18 meters. There are male and female plants. Mostly female trees are cultivated. These have ocher berry-like fruits that burst open. The seeds it contains, i.e. the nutmeg, are mainly used as a spice. The gigantic spice tree is originally native to the Banda Islands and the northern Moluccas. Today they can also be found in tropical Asia, South America and Africa. The nutmegs probably got to Europe through cruises. The Spice Islands were, at that time, the only islands where nutmeg and cloves grew. In the East Indies the nutmeg was treated as precious as gold.
As a room fragrance, it spreads a mood-stimulating atmosphere that promotes concentration and desire.
The mace oil has a digestive and stimulating effect.
The food industry uses mace oil as an alternative to nutmeg oil to refine various baked goods, syrups, drinks and sweets and is used to preserve food. In perfumery, it is mainly found in harsh men’s perfumes
