Organic Mint oil dementholized
The main component of organic mint oil, which is obtained through steam distillation of the blossoming corn mint, a wild form of mint, is menthol (30-50%), even in the dementholized version. For comparison: In the non-dementholized variant, the menthol content is up to 90%. The organic dementholized mint oil is therefore a little milder.
In natural medicine, menthol is associated with a liberating effect on the airways. When applied externally, it is supposed to be cooling and pain-relieving, so that the organic mint oil is particularly interesting for athletes’ products or products for tired feet. A cooling compress with the fresh scent of organic mint oil should also dispel nausea and headaches.
In cosmetics, organic mint oil is often used as a cheaper variant to peppermint oil in the perfuming of hair and aftershave lotions, shower gels, shampoos, or mouthwashes. The antiseptic and refreshing properties are ideal for the care of blemished skin and for dental care.
Organic mint oil is generally not used for the preparation of food and drinks. But it would be conceivable as an aroma for drinks such as liqueurs or lemonades and for candies as well as chewing gums.
In aromatherapy, organic mint oil stimulates creativity and perks up tired spirits.
The organic mint oil goes well with bergamot, orange, petitgrain, rosemary, thyme, ylang-ylang, cinnamon or lemon.
