Organic Citronella Oil
Most people know the maha pengiri grass, the leaves of which are steam distilled to produce citronella oil, under the name citronella grass. The great scent of citronella oil is used in many branches of industry for flavoring.
In the cosmetics industry, organic citronella oil is used to create fresh perfumes, wonderfully fragrant creams, and great smelling soaps. Organic citronella oil is added to household cleaners such as washing powder, detergent, or window cleaner. Room fragrances that contain organic citronella oil should also dispel unpleasant odors such as tobacco, fish, or sweat. While most people find the scent of citronella oil to be very pleasant, insects like flies or mosquitoes don’t like it at all. The citronella oil organic is hence often added to natural insect repellants.
For the food industry, its use is only important in small quantities. Then, for example, liqueurs can be flavored with organic citronella oil.
The scent of citronella oil reminds many of summer days, so that it should have a relaxing, restorative, and calming effect in aromatherapy.
