Organic Peppermint Oil
Peppermint has been known as a spice and remedy for a long time. Almost everyone associates the cool, characteristic smell of the plant that is also the smell of the organic peppermint oil with purity and freshness.
In fact, it is precisely these cleansing properties that naturopathy relies on. The organic peppermint oil is said to work very well in the fight against bacteria, viruses, and fungi and is therefore used for infections such as herpes, small wounds, and digestive problems. Nausea and vomiting can also be counteracted with the organic peppermint oil. The fresh scent is said to provide relief from tension headaches and alleviate the debilitating effects of this pain. In combination with a carrier oil (e.g., our almond or rapeseed oil), the organic peppermint oil should help by massaging the temples.
The classic one among the many uses of organic peppermint oil is the cold season. A relaxing cold bath is supposed to let the troubled body come to rest again. In the same way, inhalation with fragrance mixtures made from organic peppermint oil should loosen the stuck mucus in the nasal area.
In the cosmetics industry, organic peppermint oil is mainly used to scent care products such as toothpaste, soaps, or toiletries in order to underline the common association with purity. The cosmetics industry can use the cooling effect of organic peppermint oil in refreshing sprays, sports shower baths, or in after-sun products. In the hot summer time, a spray with organic peppermint oil revives tired, swollen feet.
Chewing gum is probably the best-known place of use for peppermint in the food industry, but confectionery and (alcoholic) beverages can also be flavored in small doses with organic peppermint oil.
Aromatherapy also benefits from the pure, fresh scent of the organic peppermint oil. It should stimulate and drive away negative thoughts and create a pleasant (room) climate for concentration and vigor. Maybe a tip in winter? The peppermint aroma is supposed to dampen cravings for sweets a little.
