Organic Vetiver Oil
Obtained by steam distillation of the dried roots of the vetiver grass, the organic vetiver oil is valued in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
Naturopathy uses it as a massage oil, oil bath, or as pads and compresses for wounds, acne, and dermatitis, as the organic vetiver oil is said to have skin-regenerating properties and to relieve itching and other skin irritations.
Mature skin should also be able to benefit from these properties. Creams, oils, and massage products in anti-aging care are therefore often enriched with organic vetiver oil in the cosmetics industry. Organic vetiver oil is also used for firming lotions in anti-cellulite products. In this way, stretch marks are supposed to be visually reduced. Organic vetiver oil in small quantities is suitable as a fixative for perfumes due to its heavy scent.
The organic vetiver oil is food grade. Due to the earthy scent, however, it is rarely used. Maybe you are creative and have a recipe in mind?
In aromatherapy, the essential oil from the vetiver roots is said to symbolically ground again and bring calmness. Mental exhaustion with simultaneous restlessness is combated. Incidentally, the organic vetiver oil is also an aphrodisiac and is supposed to strengthen the libido again.
It goes well with organic bergamot oil, organic orange oil, organic sandalwood oil, organic ylang ylang oil, or with organic lemon oil.
