Organic Thyme Oil (red)
The organic essential thyme oil is produced with the help of steam distillation of the dried, blooming herb of the real thyme (Thymus vulgaris). The red color of organic thyme oil is due to the natural copper compounds of the phenolic components thymol and carvacrol.
In the pharmaceutical sector (in phytotherapy) it is used in particular for diseases of the upper respiratory tract. In this case, exemplary applications would be additives in rubs or oil baths. This anti-infectious effect is mainly attributed to the two ingredients responsible for the red color. Organic thyme oil is also said to have a pain and cramp relieving effect, which makes it a remedy for muscle tension or injuries.
The masking effect of organic thyme oil is important for the cosmetics industry. The scent covers unpleasant odors in perfumes, creams, or shampoos. In addition to being used as a cover perfume, the fragrance itself is also a pleasant enrichment. As a fragrance component, it creates an herbaceous and spicy aroma in eau de cologne or soaps. This aroma is also valued in oral hygiene products such as mouthwash and toothpaste.
The food industry likes to use organic thyme oil instead of the dried version for Mediterranean dishes, which are so wonderful to bring the summer into mind: as a marinade, dressing, in soups, or baked goods.
In aromatherapy, the organic thyme oil is said to calm and revitalize the mind. Sleep disturbances and exhaustion should come to an end.
Organic thyme oil goes well with eucalyptus oil, lavender oil, tangerine oil, orange oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, sandalwood oil, ylang ylang oil, cinnamon oil, or lemon oil.
