Organic Lime oil
In contrast to the other essential citrus oils such as orange oil or lemon oil, the organic lime oil is obtained by steam distillation instead of cold pressing the whole fruit of the lime.
There are several fields of application of lime oil available for natural medicine. It is considered to be very digestive, which means that it is rubbed into the gastrointestinal region in the event of general digestive problems. Nausea should go away with the fresh scent of the lime oil. The anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects of the lime oil support not only digestion but also the immune system. Applied to the respiratory tract or as a cleansing room fragrance, the organic lime oil is supposed to help in the cold season.
For the cosmetics industry, it therefore also plays a role in the care of inflamed, blemished skin. Small pimples and redness should be able to disappear with the organic lime oil. Anti-cellulite products benefit from the slightly firming effect of lime oil.
The food industry uses the lime aroma in sweets and beverages: maybe a sparkling lemonade in summer or a pleasant candy in winter?
Aromatherapy uses organic lime oil in the fragrance lamp or as an inhalation. It is supposed to lighten the mood. The fresh scent invigorates the senses and combats sadness and fear.
Organic lime oil goes well with bergamot, lavender, litsea cubeba, bay leaves and sandalwood.
