Organic Chamomile Oil (blue; var. Recutita)
The organic blue chamomile oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers of real chamomile. Chamomile is one of the most famous and frequently used medicinal plants. The organic blue chamomile oil is considered to be particularly healing and has the most intense fragrance compared to the oils from other types of chamomile (such as the organic Roman chamomile oil).
The anti-septic and anti-inflammatory properties of the organic blue chamomile oil are important for naturopathy. Itchy skin affected by eczema should be gently cared for again. The organic blue chamomile oil should also support wound healing. In addition to the use of the blue chamomile oil organic for dermatoses, some naturopaths also describe the relief of headaches or gastrointestinal complaints. It is particularly popular for inflammation of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and the mouth and throat region. The organic blue chamomile has long been used by midwives during and after the birth for mother and child.
The cosmetics industry uses the organic blue chamomile oil, for example, for fragrancing and care in creams and lotions for sensitive and dry skin with minor redness and irritation.
In the food industry, the use of organic blue chamomile oil is possible, albeit rarely. It is suitable, for example, for flavoring liqueurs.
In aromatherapy, the oil from real chamomile is said to alleviate restlessness and nervousness. Often accompanied by constant itching, the restlessness should subside and an emotional balance should be found again.
The organic blue chamomile oil goes well with stone pine, bergamot, dill herb and dill seed, lavandin, or lavender.
