Organic Fennel oil sweet
The sweet fennel oil organic is obtained by steam distilling the fennel seeds. Fennel is a historical remedy, which is described in traditions from India, Egypt, and Crete and was not missing in any monastery garden in the Middle Ages.
In natural medicine, it is primarily known for its digestive and antispasmodic properties, and it is often used in conjunction with anise and caraway seeds as the traditional remedy for constipation, flatulence, or colic. When applied to the liver region, it is also supposed to be able to stimulate the flow of bile. Due to its estrogen-like properties, organic fennel oil is also considered a remedy for menstrual cramps and cycle anomalies. At the same time, it is supposed to promote the flow of milk in breastfeeding women. In the case of acute bronchitis, inhalation with organic fennel oil promotes the detachment and removal of mucus and secretions, as the organic fennel oil is intended to widen constricted bronchi again.
In cosmetics, the organic essential fennel oil is used in the composition of herbal, chypre, and fougère scents e.g., used for soaps, shampoos, and other cleaning products. However, most of the world’s production is used as a flavoring for oral care products (toothpaste, mouthwash).
The food industry uses organic fennel oil as a Mediterranean seasoning oil for fish, salads, pasta, and stir-fries. Baked goods also get a great Mediterranean note with fennel oil and are reminiscent of mild summer evenings on the sun terrace. Alcoholic beverages such as absinthe or pastis are also flavored with organic fennel oil.
In aromatherapy, organic essential fennel oil is valued for its activating effect on the entire psyche. In the case of general stress and tiredness, the use as a room fragrance (fragrance lamp), as a rub, or oil bath is recommended.
The sweet organic fennel oil goes well with caraway seeds, lavandin, lavender, lemon, mint, sandalwood or ylang-ylang.
