Trivia
The Aztecs used avocados in their diet. Spanish navigators then spread them from southern Mexico to the Caribbean, Chile, and later to Asia. Mexico remains the main exporter to this day, supplying almost half of the avocado volume traded.
The avocado is a single-seeded, mostly fist-sized berry with a dark green to dark red skin, inside of which the round core is surrounded by pulp. In addition to the production of avocado oil, the pulp is also suitable for raw consumption. The seed or kernel accounts for up to 12% of the fruit.
Our organic avocado oil is obtained from the pulp and the split core by cold pressing.
